The main event for Jammin Wear Weekend 2022 drew a crowd! Soundtrack by the roller skate world's finest DJs, DJ Jammin, DJ Soul, DJ Nile and DJ Arson. This video starts with a few clips from roll call... a bit of snapping and the tail end of trains/trios/up top freestyle. I couldn't post a video featuring DJ Nile and DJ Arson without some circle partner skate action, so the last few minutes wraps up with that!
I didn't get a ton of footage Saturday since I was busy skating, but I wanted to share what I did get!
A few months ago the floor at The Rink was so sticky it was borderline unskateable... but as the weather has become cold and dry, Saturday night it was actually quite slick! My knees were pleasantly surprised! I've never been a fan at all of the dim blue lighting in there, but the energy on the floor made up for the sleepy cobalt glow. I really do wish they'd upgrade the lighting... I'd be much more excited about sessions at The Rink if they did! Nevertheless it was a poppin main event!
