In July, I had a myomectomy, to remove 19 fibroids (and some other unexpected stuff), and if I'm being honest, the recovery process was more challenging than I expected. I thought I did enough research, but there were still many things I wasn't prepared for. Therefore, I am sharing things I wish I knew about recovering from a myomectomy (along with a few other gems), in hopes that I can help someone preparing for the surgery. So many women, especially Black women live with fibroids. My hope is that someone will find this video helpful, in some way.
