A new legend I got in the collection, for 75€.
This vintage 70-80s miele automatic W 427 washing machine came from a very old house with an elderly person, near me for sale. I had to go for it!
Here is a full spin test on long 900RPM, machine works perfectly but the motor bearings need some oil, some parts have comen out but they don't affect functionality (holders for top cover and some plastics that cover wiring)
I've been told it's working 100% perfectly but we'll see when I water test it, it's gonna take a while to install it fully. Carrying it from staircase was a nightmare too... it was a house with many floors.
Some info on it:
Wash power on motor: 200 watts
Spinning power on motor: 600 watts
Motor is separated in 2 parts - One is induction ran by a capacitor for washing, and one is brushed for spinning - Washing motor 200 watts, spin motor 600 watts. Basically a 2 motor machine but they are combined in 1!!
80 watts pump
3kW heating
It's extremely heavy and built with robust metal, you barely see plastic on it. Nothing compared to today's junk.
The metal tub is enameled to avoid rust, it should NEVER be cleaned with any type of acid because that will destroy the enamel.
in action!!
0:00 Starting
0:33 Preparing for spin
1:35 Pulse spins
6:04 Final spin 900RPM
11:26 Anti-crease
12:04 End of cycle
