On April 3, 2012, multiple large tornadoes touched down in a surprise mini tornado outbreak across the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. This prompted the National Weather Service to issue a rare Tornado Emergency. These are only issued for large tornadoes that will affect largely populated areas. This video is one of them, which included the Dallas area.
