Alone in the Dark: Moose, Fog, and Failure on the Mountain

What happens when you hike into the mountains before dawn — and everything goes wrong?

In this episode, I head deep into Rocky Mountain National Park, hoping to photograph a remote sunset. But the night takes an unexpected turn: thick fog rolls in, moose appear on the trail, and powerful winds greet me at the summit. With freezing temperatures and low visibility, this turned into one of the most challenging mornings I've had so far this year.

I didn’t get the photo I was after… but I did come back with a story.
