Atlas is a name that inspires great strength and a massive ability to carry things. I don't know about that first bit, but when it comes to hauling the Volkswagen Atlas 3-Row SUV is an impressive machine. This review is about the R-Line trim, which is a special SEL Premium variant with a bit of class and lots of utility. The chassis' wide stance and long wheelbase makes it a veritable airplane hanger of room and its 4Motion AWD system makes it a four-seasons champ, although in this vid we had a bit of snow and ice to challenge it. The engine is a turbo inline Four, which is refined and economical but not a true powerhouse. That said, VW says it can tow 5,000 lbs., like most of the competition. Interesting. Some leave the beach blanket behind and let's go for a bit of winter testing, and evaluate whether this might be your next family wagon.
