The IS-7 (Object 260) is one of the most powerful and advanced heavy tanks ever created by the Soviet Union. Developed right after World War II, the IS-7 combined extreme armor protection, a devastating 130mm naval-derived cannon, and unbelievable mobility for a tank weighing nearly 68 tons.
In this video, we explore the full story behind the IS-7: its development, armor design, firepower, speed, and the reasons why this monster tank never entered mass production. With its “Pike Nose” armor, 250mm turret, semi-automatic loading system, and a 1,050 hp marine engine pushing it to 60 km/h, the IS-7 remains one of the greatest “what-if” tanks in military history.
If the IS-7 had been deployed, it could have changed the future of armored warfare.
