⁉️ THE BITE-SIZE QUESTION: Why do we call it "Good Friday"?
Good Friday is remarkable because it encompasses both the extraordinary mission of Jesus to save humanity and the immense goodness that arose from his sacrifice, leading to our salvation.
Calling it "Good" emphasizes its dual nature of holiness and divine purpose.

⁉️ THE QUESTION:
Why do we call it "Good Friday"?
====================
🎙️ THE ANSWER:
Good Friday was the day that Jesus was crucified on the cross. So why do we call it "Good"? That's a question I used to ask myself as a child because I would be remembering that this is the day Jesus was crucified, brutally beaten. He was killed for our sins. So why would we call that "Good"? We're missing that the word "Good" is this old English word that also meant "holy". So it's another word, another way of saying "Good Friday" is "holy Friday". It's when the Holy Son of God came down to accomplish his his holy mission to save humanity, to rescue us from our sin and our death. And it is good in the other sense that even though there is a brutality to it and a horrible crucifixion and death, its work is good. It led to our good. It led to our salvation. So I have no qualms with calling it Holy Friday or Good Friday because it is. It is both holy and good.
