Major Leetul Gogoi and his driver Sepoy Sameer Malla have been awarded punishment by the Indian Army after court martial in the Hotel Grand Mamta incident in Srinagar. The Major will loose 6 months of his seniority. The Army found the servicemen guilty on two counts - “fraternizing” with a local in spite of instructions to the contrary and “being away from the place of duty while in operational area.”
