Rare 1956 Continental Mark II in Pastoral Blue

This Continental II is a nice, solid, driver-quality classic that should bring plenty of enjoyment.

The car was re-painted many years ago in Pastoral Blue, a consumer-level respray with a nice shine and even with a few scuffs here and there, pretty and presentable as-is. The interior is mostly original including leather, headliner, and panels though brand new, nice quality carpet was recently installed. It's very comfortable with a nice patina and wonderful to ride in. The spare, tire cover and jack are all present.

The 368 cu in 6.0L Y-block V8 starts; runs and drives well, boasting 300HP from the factory. Brakes and suspension and handling all in good, working order. Much mechanical work has been done over the last few years to ensure it's drivability.

This 1956 Continental is the first year of the second generation Continental it was sold by the Ford Continental Division for the 1956 and 1957 model years. Previous and later model years held the Lincoln Continental designation.

With a price tag of $10,000 when new (equivalent to over $107,000 today), the Mark II cost the same as five Ford Customlines. With a large number of power-equipment features included, the Mark II was offered with a single option: $595 for air conditioning. This car is equipped with factory air-conditioning.
