An introduction to the restoration of a 1974 Oday Mariner 19 sailboat. My goal is to keep a vlog and document everything from planning, cleaning, prepping, and repair of this old trailer sailor, eventually evolving into a sailing series exploring Florida's coast and waterways.
The Mariner has a large following of many owners, an active forum with repair and restoration information, and plenty of parts still available. Regarding my video style, I think I'll opt for mostly raw footage and audio with minimal editing. I like this style because it puts you more "in the shop" without music getting in the way to set the mood. Music has its place and I'll probably incorporate it here and there in my videos, but expect to hear shop and scenery audio much of the time. We'll see how my videos and style evolve!
