The Room Was Empty. The Pictures Weren't

The Archivist returns with another recovered artifact from Vault 13.
This time, the file is pulled from the remains of an abandoned psychiatric wing know as "Ward E", where a small, forgotten photography room once documented patient intake photos… and something else entirely.

What began as routine staff portraits slowly became evidence of an impossible presence. In the photographs, behind the patients, a shadowed figure began to appear. Faint at first. Then clearer. Then closer. And soon, the room itself began to change.

These are the surviving records from the Mira Dalton file, a staff photographer who tried to understand the presence forming behind her backdrop. Her notes, photos, and audio fragments suggest that the more she documented the anomaly, the more defined it became… until the room was no longer empty.

What emerges from these recordings is not simply a haunting, but a birth.
