An Outrageously Thorough Synopsis of Gaston Leroux's The PHANTOM of the OPERA |100 YEARS of PHANTOM

• In 1925, Universal Studios released The Phantom of the Opera, based on Gaston Leroux's gothic horror masterpiece and starring Lon Chaney - The Man of a Thousand Faces - as the Phantom.

2025 marks the 100th anniversary of the film's release, and since then, the Phantom has haunted the silver screen, the tv screen, the computer screen, the phone screen, bookshelves, and a bunch of stages with new adaptations of the story being released at least once a decade - if not more.

hello.... alllllll the way down here. I just want to give some stats:
• I started working on this video in november of 2024
• I spent over 175 hours on it before it was finished
• 138 of those hours were logged in the final three weeks before posting
on THURSDAY 3/6 I woke up at 6:30 am and did not go to bed until 11:00pm on FRIDAY 3/7, a total of 41 hours awake
• this is probably the most fun I've had making a youtube video. I'm just so happy I got to make this :)
