Wow this was fun to do. I've been looking for a long time for ballistic glasses that didn't distort, didn't fog, fit well and could easily integrate into my current gear. After trying on all the brands in the surplus stores, cabelas, ect, we settled on ESS, and asked them if we could see for ourselves what abuse they could handle.
We shot at it with a 22, shotgun, and then decided to blow them up. These were tests not designed to mimic federal or military impact standards, nor are they held in a controlled environment (obviously). These test were designed to mimic SHTF. Although the frames may not have held up perfectly to some tests (part of which can be contributed to the fact we did not have a crash dummy head so frames were allowed to warp significantly more during impact) the lenses have survived and eyes remain intact.
NOT a sponsored video. Although ESS provided lenses and frames for testing, results are real and opinions are unbiased.

They have ballistic goggles and sunglasses as well.

The good:
Exceeds military standards
No warping of vision
Suppressor frames fit well with ear protection
Very clear lenses
Anti fog (tested in 17º weather)
Cool removable head band thing for rotor wash, driving in the back of a vehicle, high winds.
Amazing price tag, considering quality, features, durability ect.
MOLLE compatible hard glasses case
Made in the USA
The bad:
Wish it came with different sized nose pieces (fits great on most people tho)
Heavier than regular sunglasses (since you get more ballistic polycarbonate)
Awesome scale: 10/10 (I would love to keep my eyes, thank you)
