NSW Basic Eligibility Criteria for 190/491 visa Residency requirements For Onshore Candidates

Under Skilled Nominated visa (subclass 190): You must either be currently employed in your nominated occupation in NSW, or
Be residing in NSW and have continuously resided in NSW for at least six months.

Same as last year, there are 3 pathways under NSW 491 nomination for this FY:
Pathway 1 is for skilled workers currently working in a designated regional area of NSW and have been paid a minimum of the TSMIT/Core Skills income salary threshold salary rate from the same qualifying regional employer in a nominated (or closely related) occupation in the six months immediately before applying. The nominated occupation must be eligible for the Skilled Work Regional visa (subclass 491). Concessions may apply to TSMIT/Core Skills income salary threshold salary rate for the eligible occupations.

Pathways 2 is for applicants currently working in your nominated occupation in NSW, or residing in NSW and have continuously resided in NSW for a minimum period of three months.you must be skilled in an occupation that is within an ANZSCO unit group identified on the NSW Regional Skills List.

Pathway 3 is for graduates who have completed a bachelor’s degree or above from a regional NSW institution.
The qualifying study must:
Be related to your nominated (or closely related) occupation; and
Have been completed within the 2 years immediately before applying for NSW nomination; and
Qualify you to claim points for 'Study in regional Australia'. These points must appear in your SkillSelect EOI.
Additionally, you must be skilled in an occupation that is within an ANZSCO unit group identified on the NSW Regional Skills List.
You must be working in your nominated occupation in NSW, or residing in NSW and have continuously resided in NSW for a minimum period of three months.

All applicants must meet all visa requirements outlined by Home Affairs for the according visa.
