This project will hold a special place in our hearts and most likely will be unforgettable. As Ian strengthened to a Category 4 storm and made landfall west of Fort Myers, Florida, on September 28, 2022. Only four Category 5 storms have made landfall in the U.S. with maximum sustained winds greater than 155 mph. This one was not far off.
Immediately after the storm we checked on the shop. Skylights blown out, roof debris fallen in on top of projects we just finished, power lines ripped from the poles. The building right next to us completely lost its roof. As bad as it was for us, we were very fortunate. Fort Myers beach and Sanibel among many other communities did not fair as well.
A week and a half of clean up after the storm we finally regained power in the shop. About an hour later a phone call came in from Miami asking if we were still there. This is their Project.
