Nakuru County Law Society of Kenya (LSK) president has filed a petition on behalf of the residents of Nakuru led by John Githanga and sports stakeholders who are challenging the devolved unit proposed change of use of Afraha Stadium Annexe from a public sports facility into a residential area for the construction of the Affordable Housing units. This move has seen county officials conduct site assessments, which have been initiated without following due legal process, particularly those governing the change of land use and public participation.
