This 355 small block Chevy derby engine ran strong and even finished its last competition — but after taking a hit and punching a hole in the oil pan, I pulled it for teardown and rebuild. I was planning a solid roller cam upgrade and reuse of most of the rotating assembly... but what I found was worse than I expected.

✔️ Cylinder sleeve destroyed
