High above the United States East Coast Virginia's Chincoteague Island and Assateague Island are an ethereal site. These Barrier Islands located 200 km south of Philadelphia lead to the sheltered waters of Delaware bay and the Delaware river. Far below Chincoteague Island is home to the town of Chincoteague, a vacation destination and Virginia's only resort island. But aside from the town, this is one of the most remote regions on the Eastern Seaboard and full of wild horses.
