Chasing Sunset Down Steep Squamish Slabs

The long light of summer is perfect for after-work laps. But that light is fading, fast. This video captures that weekly ritual, blowing off steam after a long day in the office by chasing the sun down Squamish's challenging granite slabs.

My favorite lap to relax after work starts with the tech test piece Entrails, before opening up onto some gorgeous granite down Boney Elbows. There’s no evening trail like Dirk’s Diggler, with stunning views of the sound from atop The Urinal, an extremely steep, committing double black feature that’s a sheer wall of granite. As the season’s light begins to change, let’s enjoy the last golden hours of summer.
