DUA FOR DECEASED:
Transliteration: Allaahummaghfir li (name of the person) warfa’ darajatahu fil-mahdiyyeena, wakhlufhu fee ‘aqibihi fil-ghaabireena , waghfir-lanaa wa lahu yaa Rabbal-‘aalameena, wafsah lahu fee qabrihi wa nawwir lahu feehi
Meaning: O Allah, forgive MY FATHER RUNNY PICANA MANONGDO and elevate his station among those who are guided. Send him along the path of those who came before, and forgive us and him, O Lord of the worlds. Enlarge for him his grave and shed light upon him in it.
Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un
(إِنَّا لِلّهِ وَإِنَّـا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعونَ) which means Surely we belong to Allah and to Him shall we return.
This phrase is recited by Muslims when a person is struck by calamity in life, and is also recited upon hearing the death news of a Muslim. This can also be recited in any situation involving risk of any sort. It is taken directly from the following ayah of the Qur'an:
الذين إذا أصابتهم مصيبة قالوا إنا لله وإنا إليه راجعون
Who, when disaster strikes them, say, "Indeed we belong to Allah , and indeed to Him we will return." —Al-Baqarah 156—
"Tunay na kay Allah tayo galing at Tunay na sa Kanya tayo magbabalik."
lahat ng may kaluluwa ay makakaranas ng kamatayan.
“When a person dies, all their deeds ENDS except three: a continuing charity, beneficial knowledge and a child who prays for them,” (Hadith, Muslim). Therefore, Muslims are eager to give charity which will continue to have benefit to people after their death and continue to earn them reward.
Muslims believe that after a person dies, his soul passes through a stage called barzakh, where it exists in the grave. The questioning will begin when the funeral and burial is over. Nakir and Munkar prop the deceased soul upright in the grave and ask three questions:
Who is your Lord?
What is your religion?
Who is your prophet?
Remember one of the best ways to benefit the one who passed away is to remember him in your duas and prayers. You may even fast and give charity on their behalf.
Allah knows best, Inshallah we will all be reunited in Jannah where we will see each other again.
