COFFEE CAPSULE - Filling and sealing with independent shuttles

The latest addition to Sarong’s filling and sealing portfolio is the Magneta, available in 400, 800, 1000 capsules per minute versions.

With Magneta, Sarong replaces the belt or chain conveyors – conventionally used to transport capsules through the machine – with independent magnetic shuttles powered by a linear motor. In such a way Magneta overcomes the limit that arises from the usage of belt conveyors to transport capsules, which implies that the process is based on the cycle time of the bottleneck stage and makes the machine ‘’rigid’’, so that it is often dedicated to a single product or capsule.

On the contrary, with the breakthrough innovation of capsules being transported by independent shuttles moved by linear motors, Sarong breaks this paradigm, allowing a quick and simple format change over. Along with flexibility, Magneta guarantees other important advantages. In fact, the new filling and sealing machine from Sarong can optimise nitrogen and aluminium or plastic consumption, guarantees the accuracy of capsules’ positioning under each processing station, reduces maintenance costs and occupies a very reduced footprint.

A lack of mechanical transmission elements and components also means that maintenance takes less time and can be done less often.
All these elements have a huge impact on the reduction of the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) of the machine.
