Das war ein sehr schöner Abend. Die ersten vier Alben von 1990-95 waren schon so 90er Punk bis Indie-Rock. Man könnte vermuten, dass sie seit "Neon Golden" getrieben sind, eigen zu sein, "Kunst" zu machen (zu müssen). Tolle Musik haben sie dadurch erfunden, das letzte Album wieder ein neues Highlight. Wenn sie auf den Konzerten dann immer mal ein altes Stück gespielt haben, fühlte es sich für mich immer etwas deplatziert an. Deshalb schön, dass sie ihren alten Liedern jetzt mal ein neuen lebendiges (live) Zuhause gegeben haben. Witzigerweise passen die neueren Stücke besser in den alten Kram rein als andersherum. Sie wirken so halt einfach bodenständiger. Und das war toll.

Um Geld für ihr „Alien Disko“-Festival zu sammeln spielten The Notwist im Herbst 2024 3 Konzerte um München, mit reduzierter Pocketband. Vor allem Stücke der ersten drei Alben, aber auch neuere Songs. Jetzt kommt die Pocketband nach Berlin, Hamburg, Köln und Groningen.
