In 2018, Michele was attempting to conceive and was undergoing IVF treatments. During a routine visit, her doctor found polyps in her uterus. A week after removing the polyps, she was diagnosed with endometrial cancer. Looking back, Michele is thankful she went through IVF because this led to her endometrial cancer being detected early. Her cancer was spotted while her symptoms and disease were still minimal. In order to help raise awareness of this disease, she shared her personal experiences as an endometrial cancer survivor and patient advocate.
