How to sublimate on dark colors | Testing screen print ink and vinyl

If you’re wondering how to sublimate on dark colors, in this tutorial we show you two different ways! We chose to print on 100% cotton black t-shirts by testing screen print ink versus vinyl as substrates so that you could see the difference. The result was not what we expected for the screen printed shirt but we will definitely try again with another ink!

Temperature we used:
For the vinyl - 395F or 200C at 3 seconds
For the sublimation on vinyl - 395F or 200C at 40 seconds
For the sublimation on screen print ink - 395F or 200C at 90 seconds
**We always recommend you following the manufacturer's instructions and doing tests on your machine for best results

Materials used:
Glow in the dark HTV
White screen print ink found at local store (house brand)
A heat press
Heat resistant tape
Wax paper
Sublimation paper printed at local shop
