Uniontown, Pennsylvania was once traversed by two paralleling rail lines, one owned by the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad and another owned by the Pennsylvania Railroad. Overtime, the PRR lines have slowly been abandoned and dismantled, leaving only faint traces and distant memories in their place. The Uniontown Industrial Track is the last remaining PRR trackage in town, although it too is seemingly on its last legs. With a section of trackage recently removed, a homeless camp set up on the right-of-way, and a decade of inactivity, the future looks bleak for the Uniontown Industrial Track. Only time will tell the fate of these rails...
Note: These tracks are not technically abandoned and still connect to an active rail line. Always be cautious and respect private property when exploring inactive rail lines.
