Constructed from 32 cardboard boxes of the same shape and size, and two panels of timber; this castle was quickly put together for our "Special Needs School Prom. "
PLEASE NOTE: You don't "need" the two large pieces of wood that we added in; it is possible to also build your castle just from "painted and glued together cardboard boxes." I used the wood as we had purchased the wood for the horse carriage that we had made; and the horse carriage didn't need the two extra pieces of wood that I had requested. So I used them in the construction of the castle.
So - it is possible just to build your castle from painted and glued together cardboard boxes. A glue gun doesn't hold as well as PVA or Elmer's Washable School Glue. A glue gun just provides a quicker assembly job but I made sure to put lots of PVA or Elmer's Washable School Glue between the boxes to make a solid join when the glue dried.
[Construction time for making the castle - three weeks]
This is a short video demonstrates in 2 minutes 54 seconds how it was done.
