Pre-Twinkle Songs teach beginning violin students foundational techniques on the violin.
-Staccato and detaché bow strokes
-String crossings
-Left-hand finger independence
-Ascending and descending scales
All of these songs use the "Mississippi Stop-Stop" rhythm, preparing students for Twinkle Variation A (the first piece in the Suzuki Violin books).
Flower Song Backwards combined with the second half of Monkey Song creates the first section of Twinkle Variation A.
