But the festive spirit contrasted sharply with reports from across India. From Assam to Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Delhi, and Kerala, Christmas celebrations faced disruption, intimidation, and vandalism. Christian schools were attacked, decorations burned, children harassed, and Santa caps banned by vigilante groups.
