Oil–removing caps (valve seals) - why are they needed and when should they be changed?
If your engine has started to "eat" oil, and blue smoke is pouring out of the exhaust, most likely the problem is in worn valve seals or oil rings.
These small but important parts prevent oil from seeping into the combustion chamber. When they wear out, oil gets into the cylinders, burns out and causes increased oil consumption and smoke appears from the exhaust pipe.
Don't wait for the engine to "die" – check the oil seals on time!
