EnviroDNA’s leading platypus ecologist, Josh Griffiths, discussing the results and findings of an investigation supported by the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water in collaboration with EnviroDNA and Cesar Australia into landscape-scale bushfire impacts on platypuses in NSW. This is an opportunity to hear about the potential impacts of bushfires and land use patterns on platypus populations, the role that eDNA can play in monitoring programs, and how this data can be used for targeting conservation efforts.
This project is supported by funding through Australian Government Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water as part of "Regional Bushfire Recovery for Multiregional Species and Strategic Projects Program.
