Forging a nation as a failed state in South Sudan versus the New Normal

The SPLM rule and policies of forging a nation as a failed state in South Sudan from the onset of the Comprehensive Peace Agreement (CPA) in 2005 to date, is on course to its 20th year of President Salva Kiir's unchallenged tyranny and impunity on 9th January 2025, as he becomes the first undisputed dictator and autocrat ever of South Sudan.

This failed and dysfunctional tribal and hegemonic state is putting the lives of the human societies in Equatoria, GPAA, Western Bahr al Ghazal, and South Sudan at stake.

The country with its broken social fabric is being forged by design as a failed state that is fast approaching the cross raids with a clear sign post: To be or not to be.
The vicious mass massacres of Equatorian civilians in Kajokeji, Lokiliri, and Ngangala, whilst President Salva Kiir watched on in Juba, unmoved and unhinged by it all have put the lives of Equatorians at stake. The declaration of GPAA in 2020 as a no-fly zone by the tribal militias that committed mass murders and atrocities in Kajokeji, Agoro, and Lokiliri against innocent unarmed civilians, signalled to all and sundry the trajectory on which Salva Kiir has deliberately steered the country to chart as a failed state.

Defining the New Normal and the way forward as follows:

Equatoria + GPAA + Western Bahr al Ghazal = Lives are at stake in South Sudan.

Equatoria + GPAA = Forge a state together for self preservation and peaceful coexistence as one Equatoria Human Society and nation, that is diverse but inclusive and non-tribal, with shared identity, destiny and democratic values as one united Equatoria nation, which the Ferti and other like minded and willing democratic nations would be welcome to join in a model of Equatoria Union (EU) states = New Normal
