🥩When it comes to defrosting meat in water vs. defrosting in the fridge, both options are valid and recommended. There is a bit of a difference in the end result between both methods.
🍖When defrosting in the fridge, place the frozen pork in for 24 hours or the night before cooking- this all depends on the thickness of the meat.
🥓Defrosting in cold water will take approximately 1-2 hours (switching out the water every 30 minutes) depending on the thickness of the meat.
🥩When thawed in the fridge, liquids are reabsorbed, as opposed to thawing in cold water. The meat will be less juicy when cooked. When it comes to defrosting in hot water, in the microwave or at room temperature, it’s highly not recommended because of the chances of bacteria growth.
