I never saw many of the class 52 Western Diesel Hydraulics and doubt many have been as far as Carlisle before so I really wanted to see this one there. It started a very wet day and got better later on but my idea to see the train being turned round was abandoned and I stayed in the station. When the stock departed for turning it suddenly came to a halt for quite some time, no idea why that happened.
