Catherine Vericolli is a recording and archival engineer, and an outspoken analog purist.

She opened Five Thirteen Recording Studios in Phoenix, AZ in 2006, where for nearly fifteen years she’s dedicated herself to keeping the traditional analog recording process alive in the desert. Catherine does mixes with as little digital equipment as possible, which gives her work a unique edge.

Her studio has hosted national touring bands, guest engineers, and film scoring projects, in addition to providing a high-end recording experience for the many local bands that call Arizona home.

Now, Catherine specializes in production, studio management, machine maintenance and analog transfers. She slit her time between Nashville, TN and Phoenix, as well as is the transfer and project manager for Useful Industries, Archiving and Restoration.

In 2020, Catherine moved her studio to Nashville, Tennessee in order to grow her clientele and work with a wider range of artists. She has stated that the move to Tennessee has given her a chance to work with more experienced artists, which in turn has allowed her to grow her skills as an engineer.

Catherine is also active in advocacy for women in audio, and she serves on the board of SoundGirls.org.
