The Red Box is a stunning section of West Clear Creek. It is pretty inaccessible to say the least. Locating the red box on a map is one thing, but driving the dirt "road" and hiking down is a completely different story. This day would not be possible without our friend Eric's beta. To get down to the creek we use his exit gully on one of his canyoneering routes. So, Thank you Eric! I feel so grateful to have had the chance to explore the red box in a day.
Michael and I are talking about doing a 3 day backpacking trip to traverse the entirety of this marvelous canyon this year so stay tuned!
