Teddy Brown's first Vocalion issue and his first electrical recording. Teddy's introduction is a nice touch to this typically vibrant performance. Recorded c.21st December 1926 for release the following month. I've featured the January 1927 Vocalion listing which proclaims "records to startle the dancing world". Teddy Brown made 28 sides for the Vocalion label during the following six months plus two sides which appeared on 8 inch Broadcast.
Usually, if a Teddy Brown dance record is found it's on Imperial. At the time of writing my channel is the only one to feature any of Teddy's Vocalion recordings on You tube. In October 1927 and February 1928, Teddy Brown visited the Edison Bell recording studios, which resulted in three records for their Electron label. These were the last recordings with his band.
