I experimented more with application and I still favour a synthetic foundation brush with this formula :)

SHADE INFO on the NARS Velvet Matte Skin Tint:
I used the shade Alaska Light 2, which is a decent match for NC25 skin with golden undertones.
Alaska Light 2 is NOT olive and is also deeper than Koh Gen Do Aqua 213.
I also have Finland Light 1, which I eyeball to be a hair lighter than NC20 with more neutral undertones.
NARS is known for their very yellow shade range.
