When I came back from vacation, my oyster reef biotope aquarium was overgrown by macroalgae, and the glass covered with algae after just 10 days. I increased the photoperiod so that my friend that helped me maintain the tank while I was away to observe the tank. The algae growth was just plain crazy in the tank and the sump. In this video, I show before clips of the condition of the tank and sump, clean up results and after shots. I also added some fossils and fossil shark teeth to add to the authenticity of the biotope of the Chesapeake Bay!
