Watch this before starting a YouTube channel in 2024

When you start a YouTube channel you might not have any idea how to do things. kisi ko idea nahi hota ki wo kya kar raha hai. What things am I talking about? You’ll need to be able to wear many hats — videographer, photographer, editor, writer, project manager, therapist etc.
You’ll be surprised at how much there is to learn. Not only on the technical side of things but also when it comes to building discipline and habits. These will be helpful to you outside of your YouTube channel and become extremely valuable assets that you can employ in different areas of your life.
If you don’t see yourself doing this 5 years from now, its not for you. YouTube is not short term. Many times people want to be something because of how the lives of people who already have it looks like. And when they do it themselves, they don’t just not enjoy it, it feels draining. ek video banake, ek gana banake, ek baar standup karke agar koi response ka hope kar rahe ho toh tum chutiya ho. kyuki you do bizz/mngnt/journalism desgrees for 3 years, design/engineering degree for 4 years and maybe another degree for 2 more years and then go out to monetise that. And you are expect putting minimal input on this thing you call ‘my passion’ is not giving you big results. chutiya.

But if you get the idea that I should make a youtube channel, you must do it. Do it for 6 months without any expectations from the platform. You’ll realise if you actually enjoy it or is it just a fascinating/cool looking job. Because trust me youtube is as rewarding as it is draining.
If you have something to say, that’s because there are people out there who want to listen. The worse that will happen is they’ll skip the video, not be a returning viewer. But then there will be other people who would come and listen.
