In this Hot Wheels Year-By-Year video we take a look at diecast cars and trucks released in 1996 through 1998 for the Hot Wheels mainline series of vehicles. This video showcases cars from the Collector Series, released as collector numbers 275 to 1121, and sold from 1995 to 1999.
This video is a segment of that large collection, reviewing in detail all of the castings collection number 440 through to number 468 of the regular released toy cars in the mainline. For reference, this video also features several 5 car gift packs sold at around the same time, often with exclusive vehicles.
You will see a total of 25 unique castings, and 56 variations from a total of 65 known variations sold in the North American market back in the mid-1990's. There are many variations with wheel changes, paint differences, and base changes to keep an eye out for. Some very interesting cars released in this lot include the Ferrari F40, Chevy Monte Carlo stock car, Pontiac Fiero, Firebird, Peugeot 450, Chevy Blazer, Jaguar XJ220, Ford Mustang, and Chevrolet Corvette, just to name a few!
