Dancer, actor, performer, teacher born in Brazil (based in Sao Paulo and Montreal (Canada)).
Dance training at the legendary Estúdio Nova Dança. Founding member and dancer of the award-winning dance company Cia. Nova Dança 4 since 1997. Cristiano Karnas has been studying and practicing Contact Improvisation since 1996 (teaching since 1998). He has studied with David Zambrano, Karen Nelson, Katie Duck, Alito Alessi, Daniel Lepkoff, Joerg Hassmann, Howard Sonenklar among others and also danced in collaborative process performances with Lisa Nelson, Steve Paxton, Nancy Stark Smith and Myke Vargas.
My practice and teaching combines over three decades of in-dept research and training in dance, theatre, clown-work, martial arts, somatic, biomechanical studies and ideokinetic imagery. I look forward to connecting and working with you.
