Central Avenue is the main commercial street of The Heights section of Jersey City, with dozens and dozens of stores, restaurants, and more. It is a busy and lively avenue. The commercial part of this avenue is between Manhattan Ave and North St. This street starts in Journal Square as a residential avenue, then crosses Rt 139 into The Heights, then after Manhattan Ave intersection, it becomes a commercial street. The commercial part is between Manhattan Ave and North St. Then after North St, it becomes residential with a park to the eastern part of the street, and ends at Paterson Plank Rd, in the Union City, NJ border. This part of Jersey City, called The Heights, or Jersey City Heights, is the northern part of Jersey City. It is located just a couple miles west of New York City in linear distance. #jerseycity #newjersey
