Sufism in Kashmir valley is something that is incorporated with the spirit of its kin and has been the sole controlling element that has driven the individuals of Kashmir through the entirety of their fierce history and is something whereupon the social establishments of a Kashmiri society lives.
One of the earliest known Sufis in Kashmir is said to have been from Turkistan belonging to Suharwadi order in the 13th century. Sayyed Sharfuddin Abdur Rahman, fondly remembered as Hazrat Bulbul Shah r.a.
This sufi mehfil was organised at Sonamarg, Kashmir.
