So 1 year ago was a very special day for me, the day I finally would own my very first vintage Washing Machine and my first ever automatic collection piece - the Hotpoint 9530A! Although the machine would be re-energised exactly one month later (14th October), it was 1 year ago this truly classic and fantastic piece of British engineering was rescued. At the moment there are 4 9530's known in preservation, 3 of which are all 9530A's, with one collector having the 9530W. For this special video, I wash my favourite load - towels, with the addition of a double bedsheet, on my favourite programme - Programme 1 - 85ºc White cotton but, to make it more special, I use the Tide HE Powder and Suavitel Fabric Conditioner that I brought back from Texas this year! A very entertaining cycle, with a really thick sudslock (USA Detergents seem to be very sudsy!) and some pretty unbalanced loads too! Also, notice I have swapped the position of the machines around, makes it a lot better for sure! Enjoy! :)
