In this video, we shall explore how after the first Christian emperor Constantine started to favor Christianity, Paganism was systematically persecuted in draconic ways, enacted by the now Christian emperors of the Roman Empire. We shall see though, that there were many attempted revivals of Paganism, even as late as in 472 AD in the western Roman Empire under the likely crypto pagan emperor Anthemius. This is the tale of the slow death of Paganism, and how the flame of antiquity was extinguished by religious fanaticism.
