We all love modifying and upgrading our Jeeps. In fact, I have heard Jeeps called "giant adult Legos" and I think that is kind of fitting. After installing a 4" lift and upgrading to 35" tires, I thought the Jeep looked great, however the stock OEM fenders always stood out to me. They are extremely wide. Additionally, at full flex off roading, my 35" tires still rubbed the inside of the fenders. This triggered a series of research events on good looking fenders that were inexpensive and functional.

I love the look of the white fenders on my white Jeep and I wanted to keep that look, however a custom painted white fender can become very expensive. So I found a fellow YouTuber called Split Builds. He bought a set of inexpensive Hook & Road (the Amazon versions) steel fenders and sprayed them white to match his Jeep. They turned out great so I felt I was up for the challenge.

The Hook & Road flat fenders come in black steel and cost around $150. They are average quality (nothing special) but with 5 or so coats of paint with 4 coats of clear coat, the average black steel looks custom and unique.

After 3 days of painting, removing old fenders, cleaning up the Jeep wheel wells, installing inner fenders and then installing the new painted flat fenders, it was complete and looks great. It gives the Jeep a much beefier look and a wider stance and rubbing while off roading is not even a thought now.

I don't know how long these will last. They feel very sturdy however I feel these will need to be repainted often. Overall, I think they look more than $150 worth and will suit this rig just fine.
