In this brief video, I'll remove the magneto in order to check the strength of the spark. The fact that the auto-advance unit is missing makes this a much easier job. But of course it means that the ignition timing will need to be redone once the mag is refitted.
Please note that this is how I approach some of these maintenance jobs, so please remember to consult your owners manuals.
