Let me begin with a simple story—one that mirrors the stark realities of education in Nigeria and much of Africa. Imagine two children: one in a top-tier private school in Lagos, benefiting from AI-powered tutors, personalized learning, and instant feedback tailored to their needs. The other, in a remote village in Borno, sits in an overcrowded classroom, where a single teacher struggles to manage over 50 students with limited resources. This talk explores the widening gap in educational access, the role of AI in shaping the future of learning, and how we can bridge this digital divide to ensure no child is left behind. Faiz is the Executive Director at Blue Sapphire Hub, a enterprise support and educational inclusion support organization that fosters entrepreneurship and innovation by offering comprehensive support to people building the future of education in Nigeria.
Faiz has worked on the challenges of inclusive education and social change while fostering key partnerships (Nokia, FCDO, GIZ, and several state governments) working to ensure the development of the tech ecosystem and educational technology initiatives across the board.
As an entrepreneurship policy expert and experienced program manager working in various capacities, he has pioneered the creation of experiential learning programs to enhance entrepreneurship education across the tech ecosystem.
