Saudi Arabia is poised to become one of the world's fastest-growing economies this year, driven by pro-business reforms, soaring oil prices, and increased production. This resurgence follows a pandemic-induced recession in 2020.

With a history spanning over 3,000 years, Jeddah started as a humble fishing village and gradually evolved into a prominent global port. Over time, it became a significant stop along pilgrimage routes and a cultural and commercial hub in its own right.

While it has undergone various transformations since the 1970s, a major overhaul awaits Jeddah on the horizon. The eagerly anticipated $20 billion Jeddah Central project, unveiled in December by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, aims to orchestrate a monumental facelift. By the end of the decade, it envisions transforming this coastal gem into one of the world's most livable cities.

Covering approximately 5.7 million square meters of picturesque waterfront, the ambitious project will breathe new life into Jeddah, stretching from Al-Salam Palace to the city's water treatment plant.
